Espresso Espresso Pro
Espresso Free is free forever for personal, non-commercial use, and it isn't a demo: every disk, live updates, the full search syntax, Blends, saved searches, macros, The Shot and two offline disks. Espresso Pro adds what you need once disks pile up in drawers, or once Espresso is part of how you work. Using Espresso at work needs Pro.

Try it free for 14 days
Open Espresso › Settings › Espresso Pro › Try Free for 14 Days…, enter your email and click Send Code. You'll receive a code: click the link in the email, or paste the code in the same place. The trial doesn't need a payment method and ends by itself; afterwards Espresso returns to Free and you keep everything you set up. The newsletter is a separate, optional box.
Offline disks in Espresso Free
Espresso Free keeps your two most recently connected offline disks searchable. Other disconnected disks stay indexed, marked with a lock in the sidebar ("in the cellar"): nothing is deleted. Connect one and it's searchable again right away; with Pro, all of them are.
Buying and activating
Buy Espresso Pro… opens the checkout in your browser. Our reseller handles payment, VAT and invoices. The license key arrives by email: paste it in Settings › Espresso Pro › Activate.
- Up to three Macs of yours at a time. Before selling or replacing a Mac, click Deactivate This Mac… to free its place.
- Offline: once activated, Pro works without a connection. About once a month Espresso checks the license quietly; if your Mac is offline, nothing changes.
- Lost your key? Use Manage License in Settings, or search your email for the purchase receipt.
